Yorkshire Sculpture Park
Solstice, a day in the calendar to pause, connect with the natural world & perhaps find a little stillness.
Spend a day embracing the season, with guided drawing exercises in both indoor & outdoor settings at the park. Suitable for all levels of drawing experience.
Pay close attention to the natural world, make marks on paper & immerse yourself in the Solstice through an array of tactile materials including wax, ink & water.
You will come away with a series of works on paper, which could provide the spark for further development in any number of art forms.
The workshop is inspired by Silence – Alone in a World of Wounds, an artwork that asks us to connect to nature. As the day turns to dusk we will visit Silence to capture the fading light in our last drawing.
This event is delivered in partnership with Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
