National Museum Cardiff
We are delighted to be partnering with National Museum Cardiff as part of Lates: ANIMAL on Thursday 26 May. The event marks the opening of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition which tells the story of our planet under pressure.
Be the first to see the exhibition which features 100 backlit images that ignite curiosity by showcasing Earth’s extraordinary diversity and the fragility of the natural world.
Also on the programme, watch the Oak Project’s first digital commission Beyond Silence by artists Melissa Sorrell, Jahday Ford and SAF-S2E. Through poetry, moving images and heightened audio experiences, the film explores our conflicted relationship with nature.
Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales is a family of seven museums and a collections centre, which are all free to enter thanks to the support of the Welsh Government. Together, it is home to the nation’s art, history, heritage, and science collections.
The Lates: ANIMAL event is taking place in National Museum Cardiff’s Main Hall. Situated in the heart of Cardiff’s civic centre, National Museum Cardiff houses Wales’s national art, geology and natural history collections as well as major touring and temporary exhibitions – including the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition (opening 27 May 2022).
